B.A. is one of the oldest and well known undergraduate academic programs in the Country. It is also known as Bachelor of Arts. A large number of courses are covered under the arts category, including the languages, History, Geography, designing courses, Journalism, Philosophy, and Psychology etc. The course can be pursued either as a full-time graduate course or part-time graduate course i.e. through correspondence or distance education depending upon one’s choice. Minimum Educational Qualification Required for BA Admission

  • Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent State Board.
  • All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate.

BA Course Duration

BA OR Bachelor of Arts is a 3- year long course, which is divided into 6 semesters.

Age Limit for BA Admission In India

The minimum age to join this course is 18 years. There is no upper age limit for the course specification.

BA Admission Process

Admission to BA course is completely merit-based. The application for the bachelor’s course will be available from the month of June from the university/college counters. The filled form should be submitted to the admission center before the last specified date. In some universities and colleges, Admission to the BA program is done on the basis of entrance test conducted by the university.

BA Course Syllabus 2018

BA allows a student to study a combination of 5 subjects. Out of these 5 subjects, 2 are language papers. The syllabus for the bachelor degree is different in some aspects of different universities.
