BPT is a 4-year undergraduate course, including compulsory 6 months of clinical internship, and involving the science of physical movement aimed at preventing disease and disability. BPT stands for Bachelor of Physiotherapy. The field of physiotherapy is also known by the name of physical therapy. Physiotherapy is a part of rehabilitative medicine. It usually focuses on the use of physical therapy, massages, physical movements and exercise to improve and cure injuries, deformities and diseases.
Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Candidates who have passed 12th Science stream Biology group (Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects) from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course.
BPT Course Duration
BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) course is 4½ years long. Regular classroom sessions and clinical sessions constitute 4 years of the academic program. 6 months are dedicated towards an internship. So, in total, the course duration is of 4½ years.

BPT Admission Process
Admission to the BPT course is done on the basis of candidate's performance in the entrance test conducted by the relevant institute or university. Often subsequently, two additional rounds of Group Discussion and Personal Interview are held for assessment of the candidate’s general aptitude for the course.
