The University of North Bengal was established in 1962 with the mission “to encourage and provide for instruction for teaching, training and research in various branches of learning and course of study. The campus of the university is spread over an area of nearly 331 acres of land at the foothills of high Himalaya. NBU comprises of two campuses situated at Raja Rammohunpur near Siliguri and at Danguajhar in Jalpaiguri. North Bengal University M.Phil. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed Master degree in relevant subject/stream with minimum 55% marks [50% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD] in aggregate or its equivalent grade from this university or from any other recognized university.
- Foreign candidates are eligible for admission only if they have obtained a research visa.

Application forms may be collected from the office of the university upon payment of Rs. 150/- (Rs. 50/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the university cash counter.
